Introduction
Aces High and Hardways Mike are back this Monday to talk all things sports and sports betting. As the NFL/MLB/NHL/NBA equinox is drawing near, there is lots to talk about in the sports world. Join Aces and Hardways as they make their way through the MLB Postseason, Week 6 in college football, the start of the NHL regular season, and cap it off with NFL talk.
Segment 1 - Swingin' for October: MLB Playoff Insights
In the first segment, Kyle and Mike jump straight into the MLB playoffs, and talk some of the biggest surprises so far. They chat about the Orioles going down two games in their series vs. the Rangers, the Dodgers losing game one at home, and the Braves’ lack of offense so far. They also break down Monday and Tuesday’s games, including looking at the betting lines for tonight and tomorrow. The guys cover everything you need to know, including the moneylines, run lines, and totals for the next couple of days.
Segment 2 - College Football Recap and Preview
In the next segment, the guys spend considerable time looking back on Week 6 in college football. They also talk about the biggest surprises from NCAAF this past week, including a couple of notable upsets and a couple of games that most had as an upset, but Aces had pegged. They also talk about Miami’s baffling decision to not take a knee and run the clock out, which cost them the win against Georgia Tech. Also in this segment, Kyle and Mike look ahead to Week 7, which starts tomorrow (!), as Conference USA has jumped the MAC for Tuesday night college football action. They also look ahead to games later this week.
Segment 3 - Dropping the Puck: NHL Season Start
In the third segment, the guys jump over to hockey, as the NHL regular season starts on Tuesday. Kyle and Mike discuss the Blackhawks and their season outlook with the number one overall pick, Connor Bedard. Next, Aces tells bettors what he looks for when checking out lines and making bets on hockey and the NHL, before he and Hardways look at the Game Boards/Game Pages for the NHL games coming up this week. Finally in this segment, the guys discuss futures wagers for the 2023-2024 season what if there is any value on the board.
Segment 4 - NFL Recap and Monday Night Football Preview
In the final segment, Mike recaps the week’s NFL action, starting with the Bears win over the Commanders last Thursday night and capping off with the 49ers dismantling of the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. The guys also check out the lines for tonight’s Monday Night Football game between the Raiders and the Packers in Las Vegas.
Conclusion
The guys close out the show by mentioning what is coming in the sports betting world, as the NBA will join the NHL with regular season games very shortly this month. Remember, when it comes to sports betting, you don't always have to bet, but when you do, wager wisely.
